OMG! Yesterday I visited Salt Spa Maui in Paia for the first time, and it was ahhhh-mazing! These are not ranked in any order — all three of the estheticians below are THE BEST in my book! However they each serve different regions of Maui, so I can recommend them based on where you’re located or where you’re staying on your Maui vacation. Best Kihei Esthetician: Beauty Spa Maui Julie, owner and founder of Beauty Spa Maui, has been providing amazing facials and skincare services on Maui for many years. I’ve personally known her since 2017 and have received incredible facials from her, as well as totally relaxing massage therapy. She’s a wonderful soul who cares about her clients and does an impeccable job with every service she offers. Though she no longer does manicures (I loved her gel mani pedis!) I also appreciate her energy and she is very sweet, in addition to being very skilled as an esthetician. I would recommend her to anyone seeing the best facial on Maui because she really knows skincare from an expert perspective and she’ll definitely help you. I do think the best value is to sign up for a package and then she’ll help you improve you skin over time with several treatments. This Paia spa offers esthetician services, massage therapy, foot baths, products and is a very comfortable spot to drop in for some self care while you’re in Paia Town. It’s located next to Wabisabi and they have an amazing wing mural outside where you can snap a photo of yourself with the wings. Highly recommend you check out this Paia esthetician and day spa. Maui Sugar Waxing
So after 5+ years of not shaving, I decided to look for a professional who could help me with armpit hair removal. I knew I didn’t want regular waxing but I was interested in trying sugar waxing, which I’d heard about and was curious if it was comfortable and effective. I’m just not interested in shaving! So I did a Google search and found some providers in my area. I decided to book with Angela at Sugar Mamma Studio for Maui sugar waxing. On the day of our appointment, there was a fire nearby and Angela’s area was under evacuation notice. I had an important event that evening and I reallllly wanted to get my pits sugared that day, so I sent several messages to Angela after I received her text message that she had to cancel due to the evacuations. Then I realized how insensitive I was being to the situation (after I ate some food, haha) and I sent another text asking her to ignore more requests and focus on whatever she needed to! Lucky for me, she actually called me back and offered to fit me into her schedule earlier than my original appointment. I felt so much relief and gratitude that she was willing to help me despite the dramatic fire evacuation situation. Luckily the County of Maui cancelled the evacuation a bit later, too. So I went to Angela’s location and we met. Let me tell, first off, this woman is a sparkly gem of a human. She is hilarious, down to earth, approachable, friendly and also a true professional. We both felt a mutual vibe from the moment we met and it turned out she was also looking for a Maui SEO website designer to help her with her business!! How amazing for me! I was lucky to get my legs sugared for free and here’s my video recap of the experience. Three weeks later, my legs are still SUPER SMOOTH! I’m so impressed!
